The Southeast Louisiana Business Center helps facilitate economic development in the region by providing a "one-stop-shop" for economic development activities in Southeast Louisiana.  Gathering the area's economic development resources together, it helps create partnerships that directly or indirectly contribute to the economic renewal and diversification of Louisiana with an eye on the Governor's Vision 2020 Plan.

For small and emerging businesses, the Center offers start-up and expansion business consulting, demographics and financial analysis, market development, capitalization and business plans, loan proposals, business incentives assistance, entrepreneurial and work force training, meeting facilities and business services, and networking opportunities with area economic development partners.

 Resource Partners

Some of the Center's partners in economic development activities include:

  • Area Chambers of Commerce
  • Florida Parishes Economic Development Association
  • Hammond Industrial Development Board
  • Louisiana Department of Labor
  • Louisiana Economic Development
  • Small Business Development Center
  • Southeastern Louisiana University's Economic & Business Development Department

  • A strong management team with at least one full-time person working in the business
