Mission
The Louisiana Technology Park (LTP) is a comprehensive business accelerator growing young companies in the Internet, high technology, and biotech economies by providing entrepreneurs with access to technology, business, and financial resources.

Background
Research Park Corporation was organized in 1992 pursuant to an act of Legislature.  It is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors, many of whom are designated by the enabling legislation.  Research Park is the sole owner of LTP, which is operated under a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between LTP, State of Louisiana, Louisiana Economic Development, and Research Park Corporation.

The Tech Park is a joint private-public alliance formed to establish a dynamic, one-of-a-kind, world-class Internet technology presence in Louisiana resulting from the combination of a high-tech business accelerator program, a commercial, tier IV data center (www.ntg.com), and significant third-party high-tech tenant space.  LTP services are available statewide for young e-commerce and high-technology businesses.  It provides access to seasoned business professionals through a Strategic Partner Network of 50+ professional companies and a connection to university-based business mentors and interns with pricing that is within reach of young startup companies.

The Tech Park has created a world-class technology hub with an infrastructure that rivals Silicon Valley. The resources of the Tech Park are designed to position Louisiana as a competitor in the digital economy. By the end of 2006, 16 member companies were in residence with a collective a payroll of over $7.5 million and revenue of more than $11.8 million. Those members have raised a combined more than $16.5 million in angel and venture money.
