The Louisiana Emerging Technology Center, designed specifically as an incubator for companies with wet-lab needs, serves small and start-up businesses developing and commercializing university technologies.  Tenants focus on the biotechnology, life sciences, agricultural and environmental industries. Beyond lab and office space (overlooking the LSU lakes), tenants receive business and technical assistance such as access to an international network of businesses, funding sources, legal resources and professional consulting, administrative staff and services, plus access to well-appointed conference rooms.

The LETC operates under the umbrella of the LSU System Research and Technology Foundation.  The Foundation’s goal is to link the most promising breakthroughs from Louisiana’s university research with business leaders who can sell their ideas in a global marketplace.  The R&T Foundation provides proactive leadership in the effort to commercialize groundbreaking technologies, create new jobs and generate economic development in the State.
