The Incubator is the
“hatchery” - a supportive environment where students’ new
entrepreneurial start-up businesses are nurtured. For a
nominal fee of $50/month, students receive use of
fully-equipped office space and office equipment, on-going
training & coaching, technical assistance, use of meeting
rooms and professional help in launching their own business.
What Do Students Learn at the Incubator?
Students attend one entrepreneurship workshop a month
and learn the value and steps of developing an effective
business plan, including: marketing & feasibility analyses;
records management and cash-flow management; how to
safe-guard intellectual property and much more! Taught by
experienced professionals, successful entrepreneurs and BPCC
faculty, attendees learn skills that take the guess-work out
of starting and growing a business. Because the monthly
Entrepreneurship Workshops are open to the public, owners of
small and emerging businesses as well as more established
enterprises will also benefit from this program. Workshops
begin in August annually and are offered on Wednesday of
each month from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Give your business
that competitive edge and sign up for the Entrepreneurship
Workshops TODAY! To register for workshops, call Community
Education at (318) 678-6015.
Who Can Apply to Become a Tenant in the
Incubator?

diploma or degree-seeking program within the
Shreveport/Bossier or Northwest LA region may be considered
